Join Us in Provence This September!

Enjoy a drink by the Roman Arena in Arles
Quaint markets, delicious wines and magnificent Roman sites -- just a few of the tantalizing experiences you can enjoy with us in Provence!  This September, in conjunction with Madison's Burkhalter Travel, we are hosting a tour of Provence in the south of France -- and we want you to join us.

Last year, we led our first-ever tour of the flea markets of Paris.  This year, we are returning to France -- and you can come with us! From Sept. 4th-12th, we'll be hosting our first market tour in Provence, featuring the cities of Nimes, Arles, Avignon, Orange and Isle sur la Sorgue.

Palace of the Popes, Avignon
Confectionique's 2017 Provence Tour will offer you the opportunity visit ancient Roman monuments, taste the delightful wines of the region, and visit breathtaking markets in several cities.

Popular and scenic, Provence came to worldwide attention in part due to the books of British expatriate Peter Mayle, author of A Year in Provence and other books about his life in the region.  Provence's purple lavender fields, craggy olive trees, multicolored vineyards, cliffs, gorges and ancient villages all await you!

Fabulous Provencal Markets!
The days and evenings will be spent exploring, experiencing and partaking in the pleasures of Provencal life.  We will have time together and you will have the freedom to search for some adventure on your own!

While on the tour, you will stay in the heart of Nimes at the charming 4-star, Art Deco-style Hotel Imperator.  Combining charm, comfort and tranquility, the Imperator is a legendary hotel that once hosted Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway, Ava Gardner and Jean Cocteau.  The hotel features a grandiose lounge, majestic gardens and spacious rooms.  Here and there an image of a torero brightens the rooms and the spirit of an artist pervades the hotel.

Hotel Imperator in Nimes
The Hotel Imperator is situated in the heart of the Roman city in the center of Nimes, a stone's throw away from the ancient Roman temple and arena.  The gourmet restaurant provides food lovers with fine cuisine influenced by the south of France, while the wine bar has many delights to enjoy.
