July: Bon Voyage to Faraway Places !

As we prepare for our July market and as many of you plan out your summer vacations, we thought -- what better time to celebrate journeys far and wide? Vacations can consist of ghost stories and roasting marshmallow by an open campfire, long bike rides that test your strength and endurance, or traveling to faraway places. Wherever your travels take you - we hope it brings all you dreamed of....

Our July market will be busy for Confectionique! As usual, we will launch our monthly market with Nuit Blanche on Thursday July 11 from 5pm-8pm, where you can share a glass of complimentary wine as you peruse what's new in our shop.

We have enjoyed designing the shop around four cities or regions that we have visited in the last few years and have put our own twist on them: Prague with it's Czech-modern design, the gentle countryside of the Cotswolds, the Moorish influences of southern Spain and Morocco and, finally, of course . . . Paris! Friday and Saturday will continue this market theme.

We will finish off our Bon Voyage market on Sunday July 14 in conjunction with the great, annual Fly-In Breakfast at Morey Airport, and coincidentally, Bastille Day!  This festive Sunday will be loads of fun for families who can partake in a traditional breakfast inside the airplane hanger, a tour of planes, or perhaps a biplane ride, and then a stop into Confectionique. (The Fly-In Breakfast concludes at noon, but we will be open until 4pm!)  You will also be able to listen to live, traditional French music by our guest accordion player, Patricia. What better way to feel like you are on vacation than strolling through Confectionique's unique airport location while being serenaded by Patricia on Bastille Day?

Finally . . . stay tuned . . . we'll be announcing an exciting new adventure in Confectionique's ongoing adventure!
