Framing French History

We were so delighted when one of our sweet customers, Gay, brought in her newly framed French postcards- also known as "Cartes Postales" -she purchased from us at our May market.
We bought many of these vintage cartes postales at one of our favorite flea markets in Paris. It's always hard to decide which ones to to bring home. Each has a wonderful snippet of a story to tell from the sweetly posed people on the front to the personal handwritten message on the back. These old cartes postales are a romantic representation of a bygone era and oh so quintessential vintage French.
Gay was excited to buy these sweet pieces of history as an anniversary gift for her daughter and son-in-law. She had them framed, and to help preserve the message on the back, she left the back visible .
We are always so delighted when our customers create and give new homes with the products we bring back from France.  We will have the remaining inventory of cartes postales on display at our Soleil Market beginning with our Nuit Blanche on June 8th from 5:00-8:00. Stop in and have a sip of complimentary wine while you wander the summer Paris-style market and perhaps find a carte postale of your very own.......
Au revoir, The Crafting Sisters
