Loving Earth

When we started Confectionique, we wanted to make the least amount of impact on the earth and our pocket books as possible (after all recycling saves money). We set up in an established space and worked around what was already there. We shopped Restore for supplies and rather than mixing our own special paints, we used what was rejected. We used second hand goods to stock the store for displays too. Confectionique has transitioned over time, but always, always with recycling and reusing in mind.

We carry the concept of caring for our planet into our workshops and parties too. We style these events to help customers see how they can reuse an old mason jar to become a spring scene, to update an old jewelry box with decoupage or how to use an old piano roll in a way that is fun and unconventional. Our goal is to teach all who want to learn how to reuse rather than discard. To save on postage we buy local as much as possible and use local venders, many of whom uncycle as well. It's one big upcycling-recycling world at Confectionique!

For our merchandise we love the curb-side, craiglist, estate sale, ReStore or second hand find that looks impossible and give it new life! You will find plenty of that at Confectionique. And then there is you, our delightful and dedicated customers that shop Confectionique. You give us items you no longer use or want and ask us to "Confectionique" them. You reuse your Confectionique bag, and by shopping with us, you are taking the opportunity to buy upcycled goods- Bravo!

Merci Beaucoup to our Earth that gives us so much wonder and delight, and to our customers who appreciate our dear planet as much as we do.

See you in May! You won't believe what we are doing with old ceiling fixtures!

Happy Earth Day Fellow Earthings,
The Crafting Sisters of Confectionique

  1. Old ceiling fixtures? I really wonder....... never mind. Creative as I am, I'm not going to be able to figure it out. I hope I might be able to come this May.

    Happy Earth Day,
