2nd Annual La Fete des Rois

During our upcoming market weekend January 12-15, we plan to celebrate our version of Epiphany.  Epiphany is a Christian holiday that has been celebrated throughout much of the world since the 4th century. The holiday is traditionally celebrated on the 6th of January (the 14th is as close as we could get).  It is a tradition in France to bake a feve (tiny ceramic creature) into a King's Cake. Who ever should be lucky enough to find the little feve is crowned King for the Day (or Queen, if you are so inclined)!

Bloom Bake Shop will again be baking the petit King-like cupcakes and hiding our petie feve in one of them. Find it and ye shall be crowned....and given a Confectionique gift certificate.

Who shall receive the coronation and the distinct honor of Le Roi? The 2nd Annual La Fete des Rois will commence on Saturday January 14th at 10:00. Stop in and  browse the Winter Delights for Winter Doldrums Market, partake in a King cupcake and perhaps be crowned our second annual Le Roi!

Au revior,
