Adam and I have so enjoyed eating at Les Dunes, a lovely Algerian restaurant located just up the street from where we have been staying in the 2nd Arrondissmont.
Tonight, when we walked in to Les Dunes we found Waheba, the owner, there with her same friendly smile. We exchanged neighborly "bonsoirs" with the other patrons and settled in for dinner.
Thing is, over the past 10 years we have been coming to Paris, we have seen quite a change, both in Parisians and in us. Adam and I are much more likely to try new types of restaurants and engage in conversation with people, but Paris has changed too. I find Parisians are more outgoing when it comes to interacting with stranger and it has become much more diverse.
Making friends with others similar to ourselves is easy, but reaching out and learning more about others from different cultures is an opportunity. By the way, Waheba makes the best herbal-mint hot tea to soothe any sore throat!
