I can get to the point that I feel sorry for myself, especially as it relates to this bum knee of mine. But, with Thanksgiving at my heels, it make me reflect upon all the things I am so grateful for.

In spite of my bum knee, I'm in good health. I can't say the same is true for many of the patients I work with. I have a roof over my head and food any time I am hungry. The same isn't true for many people living right in my neighborhood. I have a lot of family and friends who love me. There are so many people around this world that are lonely and with no one to turn to. I have a great "daytime" job while others continue to struggle just to return to the workforce. Yup, I would say I have a lot to be thankful for.

One last thing. I wouldn't have Confectionique if it weren't for the support of my dear husband and my crafting sister Jessica and her hubby Dave. Jessica isn't only my crafting sister, but my dearest friend. I wouldn't want to be doing the venture without her.

This life has certainly given me so much to be thankful for.

This will be my Thanksgiving blessing at the table this year: "Earth we thank you for our food. For work and play and all that's good. For wind and rain and sun above. But most of all for those we love."

Enjoy your Thanksgiving and bountiful blessings to all.

PS- A special thank you to the best sister-in-law ever! She put together wonderful spread of yummy finger foods to include homemade pies with squirt whip cream and waited on me hand and my own house! This would be the ONLY reason having a bum knee would be cool. And thank you to my special niece who helped me prepare my rescued stuffed animals for the shop. Love you both very much!
